I'm Liz McKenna - a certified personal trainer and strength coach based in Jacksonville, FL with over 10 years helping people build real, lasting fitness.

I work alongside each client to create personalized, performance-based training programs that align with their goals, while providing the education, coaching, and accountability needed to train with confidence.

My clients are what I call Everyday Athletes - people who are ready to commit, willing to do the work, and want to make fitness a part of their lifestyle. Not something they fight against.

All services include nutritional coaching guidance. Every new client receives a free 30-minute consultation call + a free 45-minute movement assessment before starting.

Level 1 - Beginner to Intermediate

Foundation & Fundamentals

Focused on fundamental lifting mechanics and strength building. Designed for home training with free weights and minimal equipment & no barbell required.

Level 2 - Intermediate to Advanced

Performance & Power

Built for those training in a fully equipped gym. Incorporates barbells alongside dumbbells and kettlebells for a more advanced strength stimulus.

What is an "Everyday Athlete" and am I one?

The Everyday Athlete is someone who is ready to commit and willing to put in the work consistently, regardless of current fitness level. I work with all ages and genders. If you're ready to invest in a 6–12 month plan and want to make fitness a lasting part of your lifestyle, you're exactly who I work with.

Do I need to be in Jacksonville to work with you?

Not at all. My online programs and personalized programming serve clients worldwide. In-person 1:1 sessions are available in Jacksonville, FL only.

What equipment do I need for EVOLVE Level 1?

Level 1 is designed for home training with minimal equipment, primarily dumbbells and kettlebells. No barbell needed. Level 2 requires access to a fully equipped gym with a barbell and rack.

Is nutrition coaching included?

Yes, nutritional coaching guidance is available with all services when clients request it. I also host special nutrition guest speakers and presentations for deeper education, and provide a discount code to a meal prep partner.

What does the free consultation include?

Every potential client receives a free 30-minute call to connect and figure out the best program fit. If you decide to move forward, you also get a free 45-minute movement assessment before your program begins.

Why a 6–12 month commitment?

Real strength and lasting results take time. A longer commitment gives us the runway to build fundamental strength, fine-tune your training, and make fitness a natural part of your life, not something you restart every few months.
